Solskjaer Hopes His Two Players Can Get Back Soon

Manchester United have failed to take full advantage of the defeats suffered by rivals Chelsea and Leicester City earlier this round. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side appeared to win 2-1 against Southampton on Monday night, but still had to deal with a huge downer in the middle of the injury time.

Michael Obafemi’s late goal mean that United draw 2-2 against Southampton lost a chance of been in third position in Premier League table.

During the match, United’s Luke Shaw suffered ankle injury and he was substituted with Brandon Williams taking his place only to, later on, get substituted himself.

Speaking on Shaw’s got injury, United’s manager Soslkjaer hopes the player can get back soon after scanning.

“Luke twisted his ankle. Hopefully, we can have some good news on him after we’ve done a scan.” Solskjaer said.

When asked about Brandon’s injury after a hard collision with Kyle Walker-Peters the Norwegian manager itted he is not being able to bring on a replacement due to the new rules, which allow five substitutions but only at three intervals not including the half-time break.

“I can’t say really, I’ve not seen Brandon because he was with the medical staff and I think he was getting some stitches with a gash over his eye. So let’s see how he is.” Solskjaer said.

“I don’t know if you want to look into those rules. Obviously, it was a bad cut and Brandon couldn’t see out of his eye. The referee stopped the game when the Southampton centre-back got a calf injury, I didn’t understand that one early in the second half.

“I don’t know, it is what it is, we didn’t have too many minutes to see it out with 10 men and we should have done better.” he added.
