As the MotoGP world prepares for a thrilling finish of the 2024 season, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya prepares to be the centre of all the action.
The much-awaited season finale and penultimate round of the championship will be called the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona, and it is planned for November 15-17, 2024.
This was announced on Tuesday by Dorna Sports, the International Road Racing Teams Association (IRTA), and the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), which proving Barcelona’s role as the key venue in MotoGP schedules.
The world famous racetrack characterised by a rather complicated territory and inspiring spectators is famous for having hosted motorcycle racing for several decades.
Looking forward to the 2024 MotoGP proved itself to be filled of continuable races, intense rivalry and even some surprising moments.
With the MotoGP riders now into the final rounds of the championship the points are crucial and nothing could be at stake.
Towards the end of the MotoGP season in 2024 and the final race at Barcelona, two Ducati riders, Jorge Martin and sco Bagnaia, will battle for the title championship.
As Martin is leading the standings with 485 points and Bagnaia being close, with 461 points, the situation could hardly be more tense.
Bagnaia on Sunday clinched a win in the Malaysian Grand Prix held in Sepang which kept his MotoGP title defence campaign alive as he reduced Martin’s points lead to 24 points in a bid to determine the winner from the last race of the year.
Martin will be hoping to make up ground on his rival Bagnaia, who is aiming to defend his lead.
However, weather conditions, track layout and tyre management are all factors in MotoGP race dynamics, as well as the dynamics of the race itself.
