Tundra Esports have elected not to continue with Lorenof with the conclusion of his three-month loan to the team.
Tundra Esports have announced a change to their Dota 2 roster, parting ways with Artem “Lorenof” Melnick as his loan to the team from Aurora comes to an end. Lorenof will be ing a new team, Chimera Esports, while remaining on loan from Aurora.

Tundra Esports’ current Dota 2 roster is as follows:

Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko
TBD
Neta “33” Shapira
Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
Lorenof ends three-month stint with Tundra
Lorenof was Tundra Esports’ midlaner for the past three months. He ed the team following their third place finish at The International (TI) 2024, filling the shoes left by Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, who has since retired. During his time with Tundra, Lorenof played in three tournaments. He helped the team earn some impressive results, including a second place finish at both BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and BLAST Slam I.

“He’s a really good player. I liked his performance in Aurora, and they had pretty good results. Obviously, it wasn’t the best team in the world, but he played really well,” 33 commented on Lorenof’s performance in an interview at PGL Wallachia II.

As teams continue to compete in the ongoing ESL One Bangkok 2024, Tundra Esports and Lorenof have officially parted ways. With his loan now over, Lorenof s Chimera Esports on a new loan to team up with Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev, another inactive player from Aurora.

Tundra Esports will have a new midlaner
Despite undergoing several roster changes following the conclusion of TI 2024, Tundra Esports remains stable and has consistently performed at the top in tournaments – though their current results may not align with the team’s ambitions. With Lorenof’s departure, a new face is set to the prestigious, TI-winning organization.

In a previous interview, 33 had revealed that the team initially aimed to recruit the former OG midlaner Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov. The 19-year-old player is currently benched in OG, but we can speculate that contractual issues prevented him from ing Tundra. With an open slot on the roster, it’s possible that bzm could fill the position.
