The Blues actually have not determined a replacement for Graham Potter. But in the meantime, the position of head coach of Chelsea is held by Bruno Saltor.
The man who was born on October 1, 1980 from Spain will become Graham Potter’s caretaker. He will hold that position until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
To note, Bruno Saltor is not a new name at Chelsea. He has been an assistant to Graham Potter, since officially taking over as Chelsea coach in September 2022.
Before ing Graham Potter to Chelsea, Bruno Saltor was also active at Brighton & Hove Albion. He is trusted to serve as Development Coach from 2019 to September 2022.
Long before that, Bruno Saltor was also a footballer who started his career from his native country, Spain. Early in his career, he played for Espanyol U-19 in 1997.
Continuing to grow, Bruno Saltor started to rise to the Espanyol B team in 1999. Then in 2002, he was loaned to Gimnastic de Tarragona.
After returning from a loan period, it was only in 2003 that he decided to move to UE Lleida. Playing nicely, he stole Almeira’s attention in 2005.
Four years in Almeira’s uniform, in 2009 he was also brought in by Valencia. At the end of his career, he just moved to Brighton & Hove Albion, in 2012 to be precise.
Seven years of service at Brighton & Hove Albion, Bruno Saltar decided to hang up his boots. After that, he was entrusted with ing the coaching staff of Brighton & Hove Albion. Now, Bruno Saltar is trusted as caretaker of Chelsea.
A heavy task is clearly waiting for the 42-year-old man. The reason is, he has to bring Chelsea back to a positive path after stumbling in the 2022-2023 Premier League. Apart from that, Bruno Saltar must be able to show his quality to bring Chelsea to compete in the 2022-2023 Champions League.
