Liverpool reportedly met PSV’s asking price of £40 million, making Gakpo the club’s most expensive g in their winter transfer window history.
Despite ing Liverpool, Gakpo hasn’t missed a beat. He has seamlessly integrated into Jurgen Klopp’s system, contributing with goals and assists.
This continued development further strengthens his appeal to Ten Hag, who may see Gakpo as a player who can seamlessly adapt to his playing style at United.

Gakpo, in a recent interview with Sky Sports, revealed his desire to United during the summer transfer window.
Despite initially stating his contentment with staying at Liverpool, Gakpo acknowledged United’s growing interest and his eventual hope for a move to Old Trafford.
“At the start of the window, United ed their interest but not very strongly,” Gakpo said.
“So I was waiting for a bit, and then the end was approaching and the signals became more positive,” he added.
