Manchester City managed to advance to the 2023/2024 FA Cup final. This success was achieved after beating Chelsea with a score of 1-0 in the semifinals, Saturday (21/4/2024).

Both teams traded attacks and had many opportunities. However, no goals were scored throughout the first half.

Manchester City finally got a goal in the 84th minute. Bernardo Silva was the winner for The Citizens with his goal in the 84th minute.

This victory over Chelsea took Manchester City to the FA Cup final. They will face the winner between Coventry City and Manchester United in the top match.

Playing at Wembley Stadium, Chelsea had their first golden opportunity in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, Nicolas Jackson failed to score because his shot went straight to Stefan Ortega.

After that, it was Cole Palmer’s turn to threaten Manchester City’s goal. However, Ortega managed to save his shot.

Chelsea almost scored a goal through Cole Palmer’s kick in the 37th minute. However, Ortega was able to ward off this opportunity well.

Despite buying and selling attacks, there were no goals until the end of the first 45 minutes. Both teams ended the first half with a score of 0-0.

Chelsea immediately stepped on the gas in the second half. The Blues had two chances from Jackson, but they were thwarted well by the Manchester City goalkeeper.

In the 69th minute, Manchester City had another chance via Jeremy Doku’s shot. However, his attempt was thwarted by the Chelsea goalkeeper.

One minute later, it was De Bruyne’s turn to threaten the Chelsea goal. However, the Belgian midfielder’s shot still did not meet the target.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 84th minute. Bernardo Silva scored a goal for Manchester City after grabbing the ball thrown in front of the Chelsea goal.

Manchester City’s lead lasted until the second half ended. The Citizens won 1-0 and have the right to advance to the FA Cup final this season.
