Gasly: “Completely different” approach to Alpine from Red Bull F1 move 151p1f

Pierre Gasly, Apline Formula 1 team driver, has approached the new team position in a “completely different” manner. He believes his lessons from Red Bull 2019 has played vital role in a different perspective of things.

Gasly is all set to switch from Red Bull brank to Alpine in 2023. He has spent most of his career with Red Bull and its associated brands AlpaTauri and its predecessor Toro Rosso. He ed the Toro Rosso in 2017.

Considering his performance and availability of seat at Red Bull offered him a position at senior team in 2019. The opportunity arises from Daniel Ricciardo’s departure from the team.

However, Gasly could only manage to keep the seat for 12 races. He was swapped with another driver on the sister team, Alex Albon, during the summer break.

In an interviews, Gasly explained how he intends to use lessons from his failed endeavor to exploit current opportunity. He remains determinant to make himself a success story at Alpine.

“It feels like it was an eternity ago that I was with Red Bull. And since then, so much has happened, professionally and personally,” Gasly said.

“I have a lot clearer ideas. I think it’s more like clarity in my mind on what’s needed to perform, and what’s needed to be competitive.”

Gasly feels he has learnt many things from his failed move to Red Bull.

He added: “I really feel like I’ve developed in all areas. I when I came in Red Bull, the feeling that I had going there, and now the feeling, my approach and mindset that I have going into Alpine, is completely different.

“[I want to] mainly use that experience that I’ve gathered with AlphaTauri, in good and bad times, and gathered the experience that I learned in Red Bull to make the best out of this opportunity with Alpine.

“I’m a lot more confident that this is going to be very successful, I have no doubt about it. 2019, even if you think it’s only three years ago, I think personally I’ve evolved a lot.”
