Murray will now meet Kei Nishikori in the last four after the Japanese fourth seed overcame Rafael Nadal 6-2 6-4. Top-seeded Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic plays unseeded Jeremy Chardy in Saturday’s other semi-final.
