Paris Saint Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique said he had prepared a special strategy to penetrate Inter Milan’s defense ahead of the Champions League final between the two giant Italian and French teams.
PSG will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final at the Allianz Arena Stadium, Munich, Saturday (05/31/2025) local time.
Enrique itted that Inter has a solid defense that has succeeded in making Barcelona suffer. However, the Spanish tactician is confident that Ousmane Dembele et al are capable of destroying I Nerazzurri’s solid defense.
“My motivation is to win the Champions League for the first time with PSG. I want to present a gift to the team, the club, and the citizens of the city [Paris],” said Enrique on the official Champions League website.
“My team already knows how to beat a team like this [Inter] and how to destroy that tight defense. I am very optimistic,” added Enrique.
PSG managed to advance to the final after eliminating Arsenal who had previously successfully thwarted Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Inter mightily defeated Spanish giants Barcelona.
Enrique is aware that Inter Milan has an unusual defensive strength. However, he does not want to worry and focuses on the abilities of Ousmane Dembele et al.
“We have developed a lot this season and the players have also made a lot of progress. I think the strength of the team itself is the most important thing.”
“You definitely learn something every day, after years of experience as a coach, and I also continue to develop with this team,” said Enrique who is looking at the final match with confidence.
Plus, Enrique has a good record in final matches which can make Inter even more vigilant.
Luis Enrique’s figure is a special advantage for PSG in undergoing the Champions League final against Inter. The match later will be the second final for PSG after the 2019/2020 season.
