Paul Pogba could soon be back on the football pitch after finishing his suspension for doping which started in September 2023.
A report in the English newspaper the Daily Mail states that the Frenchman is negotiating with Monaco.
Since November 2024, when he and Juventus ended their contract by mutual deal, Pogba has played for no team.
He was removed from all football-related work for four years following his test for testosterone in September 2023.
His original ban was confirmed in February 2024, but eventually it was reduced to 18 months in October.
If he s Monaco, it will be the first time Pogba has represented a club in French football.
The midfielder ed Le Havre’s youth programme, but was offered a place with Manchester United during the 2009/10 campaign at only 16 years old.
But it was 2012 when Pogba finally played in his first official match for Manchester United.
In March, Pogba posted an image of himself wearing a Flamengo shirt and many fans started talking about his possible move to the Gavea club.
There was a lot of rumours in December 2024 that Les Lions would be moving to Corinthians.
In an interview with “The Noite”, Pogba humorously said that he would play for Corinthians with Memphis Depay for free.
Yet, president Augusto Melo said there has been no with the midfielder.
Pogba was banned from football after he tested for testosterone which is forbidden by WADA, following an anti-doping control taken after the match between Juventus and Udinese, on August 20, 2023, for the Italian Championship.
In February 2024, Pogba’s case was decided and he was banned d for 4 years due to his conviction.
However, Pogba appealed to CAS and had it reduced to simply 18 months, with the suspension concluding on the 11th of this month.
