OG.LATAM forced to early exit in DreamLeague Season 26 Group Stage 1 6r1b1l

OG.LATAM forced to early exit in DreamLeague Season 26 Group Stage 1 4485e

Despite being pegged as OG’s new main squad, OG.LATAM only added on the organisation’s struggles so far in 2025 with an early exit in their debut tournament.
OG.LATAM suffered an early exit at the ongoing DreamLeague Season 26, finishing last in Group A of the Dota 2 tournament’s first round-robin format Group Stage with no series wins. Through the first three days of the event, OG.LATAM only managed to win three games across their first six best-of-two matches.

The disappointing run marks the roster’s tournament debut after g with OG a month ago. The OG.LATAM roster fields notable South American players like Hector Antonio “K1” Rodriguez and Gonzalo “DarkMago” Herrera, who initially qualified for DreamLeague Season 26 via the South American qualifiers as a stack named ‘Perrito Panzon’. Later signed by OG, the team entered DreamLeague Season 26 with heads turned to witness their performance.

Unfortunately, OG.LATAM had a devastating run in the Group Stage. In Group A, the team got swept by Nigma Galaxy, Shopify Rebellion, and BOOM Esports and drew against BetBoom Team, Aurora Gaming, and Xtreme Gaming. With three game wins and nine losses, OG.LATAM were already guaranteed elimination with one more series left to play against Team Liquid.

OG.LATAM s fellow South American team Edge, who also ranked last in Group B with a 3-9 record, in exiting DreamLeague Season 26 in 15th-16th place. Meanwhile, 14 more teams continue their battle to survive the first Group Stage phase. At the time of writing, only three teams–Aurora Gaming, Nigma Galaxy, and PARIVISION–are confirmed to advance to the next Group Stage.

Can OG.LATAM still qualify for the EWC 2025?
2025 continues to be a rough year for the OG organisation, with their LATAM division crashing out of the million-dollar event and its European squad recently failing to qualify for FISSURE Universe Episode 5. OG.LATAM’s early exit in their first tournament stings further when considering they were tapped to be the organisation’s main squad while the European roster focuses on growth.

DreamLeague Season 26 is the last tournament of the current ESL Pro Tour (EPT) that offers points for qualification to the Esports World Cup 2025’s Dota 2 tournament, meaning OG.LATAM now have no chance of earning a direct invite to the US$3 million event.
