Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be angry because he became a substitute for Manchester United’s two successive matches in the Premier League.

However Ronaldo is believed to be difficult to leave Manchester United this season because his salary demands are too high.

Erik ten Hag included Ronaldo as a substitute for Manchester United against Liverpool and Southampton. The Ten Hag strategy managed to bring the Red Devils to victory in two consecutive matches.

But again the effect of the decision made Ronaldo unhappy. This was revealed by Man United legend Rio Ferdinand when talking on the Vibe with Five podcast.

“Whether he stays or not, no one knows. But understanding Cristiano [Ronaldo], I know for sure he will be really angry now,” Ferdinand was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

“Forget who started in front of him, he didn’t start. You can’t do what he did in his career during this incredible time, at the level he’s playing at by being someone who would accept not starting and being a substitute for a team that didn’t is in the Champions League,” Ferdinand added.

In the eyes of Ferdinand Ronaldo is not the type of player who is ‘willing’ as a substitute. Ronaldo is called a player who wants to always be a starter.

“He will be the same as 21 [years old]. We spoke before the game with [Paul] Scholes. I when [David] Beckham didn’t start some games, the [Real] Madrid game [in 2003], he was angry. different,” said Ferdinand.

Even though Ronaldo is angry, Ferdinand has confidence that CR7 will find it difficult to leave Manchester United in the current transfer market with less than a week remaining. The reason is that the salary that Ronaldo is asking is too big for clubs like Napoli, Atletico Madrid, to Sporting Lisbon.

“Financially, I just don’t think that’s going to happen in the current transfer market,” said Ferdinand.

Cristiano Ronaldo was rejected by several European giants. Call it Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, to Real Madrid.

The clubs are reportedly more focused on finding younger stars. Cristiano Ronaldo is not on their target list.

According to the Spanish daily AS, Thursday (28/7/2022), Jorgen Mendes also offered Ronaldo to Napoli. Although not a giant club status, Napoli fit the criteria that Ronaldo is looking for.

The Serie A club will compete in the Champions League next season after finishing third in 2021/2022. Napoli could be the last option after a move to other clubs seems difficult to materialize.

United are likely to be willing to send Ronaldo to Napoli, but on loan. However, the nominal salary will be the biggest obstacle.

Napoli will find it difficult to pay Ronaldo’s salary, which is reportedly around 8 million euros a year. This means that the transfer will be difficult to materialize.
